1. Overview of Stress Tests
We conducted detailed tests on two key stress indicators of three glass types: surface compressive stress and internal tensile stress. The tested glass includes:
Heat-strengthened glass
Tempered glass
High-stress fire-resistant glass
2. Testing Instrument
SCALP-05 Scattered Light Polariscope:
A compact scattered light polariscope for depth-wise stress measurement in sheet glass.
3. Stress Test Results by Glass Type
3.1 Heat-Strengthened Glass
Specific test results are as follows:
Surface compressive stress value: 35.4MPa

3.2 Tempered Glass
Specific test results are as follows:
Surface compressive stress value: 104.2MPa

3.3 High-Stress Fire-Resistant Glass
Specific test results are as follows:
Surface stress value: 174.6MPa

4. Stress Curve Analysis
For the stress distribution curve of the tested glass:
Abscissa: Represents the thickness direction of the glass (i.e., the depth from the glass surface to the center).
Ordinate: Represents the stress value (unit: MPa).
Stress value definition:
Negative values = Compressive stress area (mainly distributed on the glass surface).
Positive values = Central tensile stress (mainly distributed in the glass core).
